What is Phototherapy?

Light Emitting Diode (LED) Phototherapy is a non-invasive treatment that targets specific non-thermal light to energise cells which triggers a cascade of bio stimulatory responses. It is scientifically proven for a wide range of indications including skin rejuvenation, acne and pigmentation to wound healing, psoriasis and pain relief.

Well evidenced for its regenerative and healing benefits, phototherapy does not transfer heat or create trauma making it particularly effective to treat problematic and inflammatory conditions. What are the benefits?

RED 633 NM - rejuvenation: supercharges cell energy to accelerate repair and renewal, boost collagen synthesis, increase hydration and enhance circulation to reverse the visible signs of ageing. Ideal for restoring vitality and glow.

Dr M treats all her patients personally, starting with the M-ethod™ Consultation to discuss your desired results and expectations.
Once the treatment has been agreed, you will have some pre-treatment photographs taken. The treatment area will be cleansed and the no-contact LED phototherapy will be placed on the treatment area. Numbing is not required. Your treatment concludes with the application of sun protection.
Following treatment, you will be offered a review appointment and receive aftercare instructions in your inbox.

That is why during the M-ethod™ Consultation, Dr M assesses you holistically and creates a bespoke aesthetic treatment plan tailored specifically for you.
The M-ethod™ uses the most advanced Phototherapy technology from Dermalux, that is suitable for all skin types and tones. If you are suffering from a skin or health issue, taking certain medication or currently expecting, you may not be suitable for Phototherapy. Dr M will discuss your bespoke treatment plan with you during the M-ethod™ Consultation.
No, a patch test is not required.
Come in for your appointment without make-up (for face treatments), although a thorough cleanse will be performed prior to your treatment.
