Gummy Smile
Gummy smile is when there is excessive show of the upper gums due to high elevation of the upper lip. The development of gummy smile may be genetics, but contributing factors include a short or over-active upper lip, small teeth, enlarged gums or overgrowth of the upper jaw. For some, they may feel self-conscious when they smile.
